The Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Ilorin was established in 1976, as part of the founding faculties when the university was created. Since its inception, the faculty has grown significantly, both in size and in reputation, becoming a prominent hub for social science education and research in Nigeria. The faculty has consistently adapted to the changing educational landscape, expanding its programs and facilities to meet the needs of students and society.
